Wow - things are "a-changing"!

Welcome 

Every day we find new growth and flowers in our gardens, I also have changes in my career too.





I am pleased to announce that I will be working on the floor at Addie's in Cochrane starting May 14, 2016.


 But don't worry I am still teaching.

So stay tuned in the coming months I will let you know what I am teaching and where.  If the photos interest you be sure to check in for upcoming classes.

Just in time for Valentine's Day

This is the "Raspberry Kiss" block from Wooden Spoon Quilts' site that my guild friends challenged me to sew.  I not only made them some but also created a whole bunch for myself.  The finished pillow will be dressing up my sofa for all of February.

Why not make a small quilted item for Valentine's Day.  You can make this block or do a strip pieced heart that is appliqued onto a background fabric.

Nothing like a girls outing to quilt shops to pick up your spirits and stash inventory!  3 of us ventured out and were quite happy with our findings.  It also helped that we found a couple sales.

I fell in love with a couple charm packs so stay tuned for their placement in quilt projects to come.

Once we had our fill of material shopping and great food over lunch, I returned home to get typing out a pattern on EQ7.  Or should I confess - 4 patterns!

Well Christmas is almost upon us and the New Year is just around the corner.  I want to wish all a great time with family and friends during our Christmas holidays.  May your New Year bring exciting things...I am looking forward to great days to come.

Over the next 3 or 4 weeks don't forget to take time for yourself.  Stop and do a quick project just for the fun of it.  I just finished doing 2 blocks from a block of a month challenge.  It relaxed me and put a smile on my face, it helped to clear my mind.

 

 I then decided to continue my self time and made a "1 hour basket" a free pattern from Hearts and Bees on the web...what fun I now have made 4.

Don't forget your quilting family during the holidays.  Maybe you can squeeze a sew day in or a quick outing for tea and shopping at your favourite store. Anyway you decide to spend your holidays just make sure to be thankful for our passion of quilting as it brings us such joy.
